We are so EXCITED about our 10th Annual Kentucky Derby Party – Houston’s longest running and the most talked-about Derby Party “Mint Juleps & Jodhpurs” hosted by Houstonia Magazine at the iconic Palm Restaurant!

The Derby is not just about horse racing. It’s about the magic that makes the first Saturday in May unique in sports, fashion and style and a wonderful time to help those in need while celebrating the “Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports!”

This year we’ll feature our always highly anticipated “Best Hat Contest” along with the “Best Dressed Gentleman” award, horse race betting, mint juleps flowing, elevated eats, silent auction, and first-class entertainment and games.

Rumor has it, that yet ANOTHER very serious production company will have cameras filming for a completely NEW Houston-Based television show for a major cable network known for their take on Reality TV.  As contracts have been signed and first rounds of interviews have taken place, the rumors are real: so as always, please arrive camera-ready and donned in your most chic Derby attire.
 .
Entering our TENTH year of celebrations, the HRRF foundation is poised to continue to celebrate our annual sell-out event honoring traditional Derby customs, while continuing to exceed expectations with fabulous prizes and exciting surprises; creating new types of entertainment for our guests. We hope to entice you to become a part of the memories and magic that is the Kentucky Derby again this year!

ABOUT THE HOLLY ROSE RIBBON FOUNDATION:  The non-profit was established in 2004 in honor of Holly Harwood Skolkin and now in her memory by Dr. Franklin Rose and Cindi Harwood Rose. The Holly Rose Ribbon Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that provides 100% free reconstructive surgery to un-insured post-cancer patients. Since our inception, the Holly Rose Ribbon foundation has assisted over 100 cancer survivors with free reconstructive surgeries and assistance. We also offer grief counseling, college scholarships to cancer survivors or to those who have lost a parent to cancer, breast reconstructive surgeries at no-cost to the survivor, and arts in medicine activities for children currently undergoing cancer treatment at area hospitals. During the ten-year history of the Foundation there have been no salaries, both Cindi and her husband Franklin have volunteered their services and time to the organization as a whole. All funds collected through The Holly Rose Ribbon Foundation go towards the many costs associated in providing reconstructive surgery like nursing care, hospital stays and anesthesiologist costs.

We at the Holly Rose Ribbon Foundation are very proud to be a part of wellness efforts and recovery for men, women and children affected by cancer in Houston. To continue to provide these life-altering services to future patients we look to serve, including individuals, families, and children alike, we need your support to assist in furthering our mission. If you are unable to attend or assist with our events and fundraisers, you can always donate any amount at any time by visiting our website: https://hollyroseribbon.com/donations/ – every $10.00 helps us to help those in need of our services – Thank you for helping us to realize our vision of bringing hope to those affected by cancer and their families in Houston.
